What is UniDataIQ? UniDataIQ is a free college research tool that brings together verified public data on admissions, cost, student outcomes, and campus life into a single, easy-to-read profile for each school.
We built it because the data that matters most to college-bound students — what families actually pay after aid, what graduates actually earn, how much debt students actually leave with — is scattered and hard to find. We pull it together so you don’t have to.
How current is the data? We update each source as its publisher releases new figures rather than on a single annual cycle. Profiles currently reflect the June 2026 College Scorecard release, the IPEDS 2024 data collection, 2025–26 Common Data Set filings where schools have published them, the 2024 Clery Act campus safety reports, and the most recent U.S. Census Bureau community estimates. Some fields necessarily reflect the prior academic year — that lag comes from federal reporting timelines and is shared by every college research tool.
Where the data comes from Every figure traces to a named public source: the U.S. Department of Education’s College Scorecard and IPEDS surveys, each school’s own Common Data Set filing, Clery Act safety disclosures, and U.S. Census Bureau data for the surrounding community. When a school’s Common Data Set and a federal file disagree, we prefer the school’s validated filing and say so. Numbers cited in our written summaries are checked automatically against the underlying data before any page is published, so the prose and the tables can’t drift apart.
What UniDataIQ is not We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any college or university. We do not rank schools, accept advertising, or receive compensation from institutions. The data we present is the data — we don’t editorialize about which schools are “best.”
Who built this? UniDataIQ is an independent project built by a small team passionate about making college data accessible to every student, not just those with access to expensive counselors or data subscriptions.
